A security issue was discovered in the login system for cPanel/WHM and Webmail. The ports used to access these services have been disabled until such time as a patch is created to prevent the issue from being exploited.
There is no estimation of when this may be resolved, so your patience is appreciated.
UPDATE 5:25 PM:
The issue has been expanded to include the following ports and services:
2083 - SSL connections Cpanel
2082 - Non-SSL connections Cpanel
2095/2096 - Webmail
2077/2078 - Webdisk
UPDATE 9:23 PM:
It would appear Cpanel won't be releasing a patch for our version of Cpanel in use for the server, as it's a bit older than the latest supported version.
To proceed and get our users back to normal, we will be migrating accounts onto a new server just as soon as possible. We will be sending a notification once that starts, and it will be done with as little impact to services as possible.
