Posted by Roy Petersen on Feb-15-2007 12:16 PM
A virtual domain is the base URL of the domain name. Examples include yourdomain.com, Woollybear.com and whg.org. Virtual domain names are not just limited to .com, .net, .org, or .edu domain extensions. International domain names are also virtual domain names, such as london.co.uk, deutchland.de, etc.
